Everything you need to know about Thunked
Thunked is a discussion forum where users can create threads and engage in conversations on various topics. It's designed to be simple, fast, and focused on meaningful discussions.
Click the "Register" link in the navigation bar. You'll need to choose a username and password. No email is required. Note that you can only create one account per hour from the same IP address.
Once logged in, click "New Thread" on the Threads page to start a new discussion. To reply to an existing thread, scroll to the bottom of the thread and use the reply form. You can also click "Quote" to include someone's post in your reply.
The forum supports basic formatting:
**text**for bold*text*for italic[link text](url)for links[quote]text[/quote]for quoting (in replies)
Yes! You can attach one image per post. Supported formats are PNG, GIF, JPEG, and WebP. Maximum file size is 30MB and maximum dimensions are 2000x2000 pixels. Images are displayed as thumbnails; click to view the full size.
Yes, you can edit your posts within 30 minutes of posting. Look for the "Edit" button on your posts. After this window closes, only administrators can edit posts.
To prevent spam, there are some rate limits:
- One new thread every 60 seconds
- One reply every 30 seconds
- Thread titles: max 200 characters
- Posts: max 1000 characters
The search feature is available to logged-in users. You can search all posts using keywords (4-29 characters). Use "quotation marks" for exact phrase matching. You can also filter by username and date range.
The flags next to usernames represent the country where the user was located when they created their account. This is detected automatically from their IP address.
If you violate the forum rules, you may be banned temporarily or permanently. Banned users see a message explaining the reason for their ban. Bans can be applied to user accounts or IP addresses.
Go to your profile (click your username in the navigation), then click "Settings". From there, you can change your password by entering your current password and choosing a new one.
You can identify administrators by the "Admin" badge on their profile. Feel free to send them a message through the forum if you have questions or concerns.
